Ukraine harvested an excellent crop of potatoes this year, so prices should not rise until the next season, says expert Oksana Ruzhenkova.

Deputies of the VRU Committee on Land Policy supported the proposal of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy to amend a number of laws to improve the requirements of the legislation on food products, feed, veterinary medicine and animal welfare.

Now we observe a small number of offers of high-quality wheat, and entrepreneurs are in no hurry to sell their products, and this is the reason for the continued rise in prices. It should be noted that now the demand for wheat has fallen in such a large quantity, the war is going on in the country and people have started to consume more and more accordingly.

Analysts of the IA "APK-Inform" project reported that for the first time since mid-July, processors have observed a tendency to decrease purchase prices for GM and non-GM soybeans.

The price of buckwheat may drop to UAH 60-65 per kilogram. "Now buckwheat from this year's new harvest is arriving at the factory for processing, and there is every chance that the price will begin to decline," said a representative of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

According to analysts, the price pressure from the suppliers has increased. But, in turn, the procurers explain this by the fact that the pace of pork sales across all sales channels has decreased and the competition from imported meat raw materials has increased significantly, the supply of which has picked up since the end of September.

Prices for vegetables continue to rise in Ukraine, today the cost of a kilogram of cucumber is UAH 74.99, which is almost UAH 9 more expensive than the average figure for September.

The fact that the pace of increasing biomethane production is increasing, forces Ukraine to join the biomethane boom as soon as possible. In addition, 70% of our territory is agricultural land, which is the largest amount of raw materials for biomethane production in Europe.
