The cost of lard in Ukraine increased by 27%

In Ukraine, the growth rate of meat and lard prices is maintained. Over the last year, the price has increased by almost 27%. If at the end of summer a kilogram of lard could be purchased for an average of UAH 210, today the price fluctuates between UAH 217-220 per kg, which is UAH 7-10 more expensive.

In stores, the cheapest lard costs between UAH 190-200. per kg, for the most expensive you will have to pay UAH 230.

The average price for homemade lard is currently within the range of UAH 180-182 per kilogram, which is almost UAH 27 more expensive than in August.
The positive dynamics of lard price growth has been maintained for almost 5 months in a row. The last time the price decreased was at the end of spring, when the price fell from UAH 187 per kg. up to UAH 182.5 The largest increase was recorded in August, in 1 month the price increased by UAH 19.

The increase in prices is due to the fact that a large number of pig farms are located in the occupied territories and are unable to work, therefore, less products are produced.
