In the Ukrainian meat market, prices for poultry and beef have fluctuated significantly over the past month.
Chicken thighs used to cost an average of UAH 110.72 per kilogram, now they are sold for UAH 108, which is UAH 2.72 cheaper. The price of chicken legs also decreased by UAH 2.43, from UAH 73.93 to UAH 71.50 per kilogram.
However, not all types of chicken have become affordable. Meanwhile, the price of chicken carcasses went up from 80.77 hryvnias to 84.45 hryvnias per kilogram, or 3.68 hryvnias. The price of chicken fillet increased even more — by UAH 5.85 per kilogram, from UAH 164.10 to UAH 169.95.
Changes are also present in the beef sector, although less pronounced. Beef goulash rose in price from UAH 292.36 to UAH 294.65 per kilogram, with an additional increase of UAH 2.29. It is interesting that beef ribs remained unchanged — UAH 168.95 per kg.
These price fluctuations reflect complex market dynamics. For example, you can buy chicken thighs at Novus for UAH 99.99. per kilogram, it is lower than the average cost. The same portion of chicken in «Megamarket» costs UAH 116. The range of prices for beef goulash is even more impressive: from UAH 245.90 in «Ashan» to UAH 339 in «Megamarket».
