28.03.2023 12:33

Dairy products of Ukraine were almost always aimed at export, but recently the amount of products sent abroad gradually decreased, but with the beginning of a full-scale invasion by the aggressor country, it became a real salvation for the dairy industry, Infagro experts report.

Despite all the problems that appeared during the war, namely problems with electricity, constant shelling, etc., Ukrainian dairy farmers were able to overcome them and even increase the amount of products sent abroad.
Last year, almost a quarter of processed milk was made into products for export, for comparison in 2021 it was only 16%, also in neighboring Poland it is approximately 34-35%.

In 2022, approximately 705,000 tons of dairy products worth $421 million were shipped per codon.

The main products for export are such products as: spread, whey, cheese, casein, canned milk. Fresh products are also sent in small quantities, namely cream, milk, sour cream.
