As the experts of «APK-Inform» report, according to the analyzed data, since the beginning of the year, the cost of sunflower seeds has increased in our ports.
Prices began to rise due to a decrease in the volume of offers of oil crops from Ukrainian farmers towards the end of the year. Also, one of the reasons is that part of the shipped products was sent according to contracts that were concluded earlier. According to experts, the competition between exporters and processors still persists in the market, and this is another reason for the positive dynamics of price growth.
So, since the beginning of the year, sunflower seeds began to cost UAH 550-900/t, and now they are within the range of UAH 16,800-18,500/t.
