In July, the prices of pork on the shelves of supermarkets in Ukraine increased sharply, and the prices of some types of lard also increased.
In particular, the price of pork breast meat increased from 164.09 UAH /kg to 174.77 UAH /kg. The shovel began to cost almost UAH 2 more — 163.43 UAH /kg. The cost of a collar is UAH 269.63/kg instead of UAH 255.79/kg. The average price of pork underbelly increased from 162.36 UAH /kg to 176.50 UAH /kg.
Rib lovers will have to pay UAH 179.00/kg per kilogram instead of 172.11 UAH /kg. Connoisseurs of barbecue will also buy at a higher price. Its price was set in the range from 225.68 UAH /kg to 239.90 UAH /kg.
It is difficult for many people to imagine life without lard, especially considering the fact that it is considered very useful for health. Homemade lard fell in price by almost 1 hryvnia, to 234.00 UAH /kg. On the other hand, salted lard increased from 238.34 UAH /kg to 242.88 UAH /kg.
