In Ukraine, the price of carrots began to rise this week, according to experts, the positive dynamics of price growth is due to an increase in trading activity. Also, most of the farmers have stopped the sale of good quality products as they want to wait for an even better price, experts predict that the sale will be activated again from the beginning of next month.
Carrots can now be purchased on the shelves of our stores at a price of UAH 21-29 ($0.54-0.76/kg), which is almost 12% more than last week. Due to the fact that most farmers have already completed the sale of last year's harvest, the supply of this product has begun to decrease, and sellers are taking advantage of this by raising the price.
Today, the price of Ukrainian carrots is almost twice as high as in February 2022, while the sellers are confident that the price will continue to rise due to the fact that demand will exceed supply.
