The number of ASF cases is decreasing in Ukraine

Specialists of the State Production and Consumer Service, despite the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, were able to carry out the entire complex of anti-epidemic measures on time and at the appropriate level.

During 2022, the following was carried out:

— 42.4 million vaccinations of birds in households against Newcastle disease;
— 2.0 million serological tests for brucellosis;
— 2.2 million tuberculosis studies;
— 4.2 million vaccinations of domestic animals against rabies;
— 1.6 million studies of cattle for leukemia;
— 2.5 million vaccinations of farm animals against anthrax;
— 6.5 million vaccinations of pigs against classical swine fever.

Specialists of the State Production and Consumer Service said that the number of cases of ASF has been decreasing in Ukraine in recent years, thanks to compliance with sanitary and hygienic requirements and timely localization of outbreaks.

So, 16 cases were registered in 2021, and 9 in 2022.
