Now on the Ukrainian market, potatoes cost 12-17 hryvnias per kilogram, which is an average of 17% more than at the beginning of the month. Also, according to the data of analysts from the EastFruit platform, the gradual increase in value has been taking place for the 2nd week in a row.
It should also be noted that at the moment the price of potatoes is almost 2.5 times higher than during the same period last year. Also, experts predict a further increase in value, as weakening in this segment is not planned.
Moreover, many small manufacturers also intend to gradually increase the price. They explain this by the growing demand for high-quality potatoes.
And the big players, in turn, are holding back sales for the time being, with the aim of selling quality products at higher prices in the future.
