In Ukraine, the price of corn has increased

29.09.2022 12:06

Due to the bad weather in Ukraine, it is now impossible to harvest soybeans, corn and sunflower. Prices are rising due to the work of the «grain corridor» and the corresponding increase in demand for products.

Since the price of agricultural products in our country is almost the lowest, it has the potential to grow if the corridor continues to work.

In the last week in Black Sea ports, corn prices increased from $7 per ton to almost $200 or UAH 8,000, and this increased the number of offers.

Approximately 1.55 million tons were exported in September, and almost 4.25 million tons in total for the year (last year, only 1.4 million tons were exported for the entire season).

On the American exchange, futures for December fell by 3.5% to $260, i.e. UAH 9,440, and futures for October fell by 3% and now cost $305 (UAH 11,075). European agricultural products, on the contrary, are becoming more expensive due to the reduction of the harvest and now cost $322. Also, the harvest season is coming to an end in Brazil, which will also affect world prices in the near future.
