The price of onions has risen again and currently costs from UAH 39 per kilogram to UAH 46, which is approximately 15% more than last week, according to experts from Easy Fruit.
In comparison with last year's indicators, the price has increased almost 4 times, the price will extend and continue to grow until there are no new crop revenues on the market.
The price of onions started to rise since the beginning of this year. Last month, the price was UAH 51-60 per kilogram. Experts say that such an increase in prices was due to the fact that there were a lot of revenues from the Kherson region, which accounted for more than 30% of revenues for the entire market. Also, this year there were no imported products from Turkmenistan, as they pass through Russia.
