Since the beginning of the season, Ukrainian farmers have sown almost 1 million 6 thousand hectares, including grain and leguminous crops, namely:
— Wheat 170 thousand ha;
— Barley 558 thousand ha;
— 109 thousand hectares of peas;
— Oats 82 thousand ha;
— Maize 54 thousand ha;
— Buckwheat 0.3 thousand ha;
— Millet 1.8 thousand ha.
In the last week alone, 280,000 hectares of all crops were sown, the most was sown in the Poltava region, almost 84,000 hectares. The largest amount of wheat was in the Dnipropetrovsk region, approximately 30,000 hectares, but the largest amount of corn was planted in the Sumy region, approximately 27,000 hectares
Also, the sugar beet sowing season was started in 10 regions of our country, approximately 55 thousand hectares were planted during this time. But in 14 regions, farmers sowed sunflowers, the total area is more than 137,000 hectares, the most was planted in Sumy Oblast, almost 35,000 hectares.
