At its meeting on August 20, the Government of Ukraine approved the procedure for providing financial assistance to Ukrainians «National cashback». According to the report, citizens receive compensation in the amount of 10% of the price of Ukrainian products. According to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the program will be launched on September 2, 2024.
As provided for, monetary refunds are provided for food and non-food products originating in Ukraine, but not for excise goods.
Cashback funds can be used for services such as medical care, utility bills, sports, movies and train tickets.
Cashback is only credited when the purchase is made for a cashless account and is reflected in the seller's fiscal check. Therefore, only firms that provide information on settlement transactions and are subject to the general tax system can participate in this program.
