Carrot prices have fallen in Ukraine

The amount of this vegetable on the Ukrainian markets is now very large, but carrots are being bought quite sparingly, therefore, based on this, manufacturers have begun to reduce the selling price, analysts from the EastFruit platform report.

Analysts note that the negative price dynamics is explained by a sharp increase in the number of products on the market and low interest. Currently, most of the Ukrainian producers and farmers are ready to sell 1 kilogram of carrots at the price of 8-12 hryvnias, and this, in turn, is 25% less than at the end of December.

It also became clear that the quality of carrots in warehouses is beginning to deteriorate, so a decision was made to start selling, which also affects the number of carrots on the market and, accordingly, the decrease in value.

Today, the price of carrots is almost 44% lower than a year ago, but experts also note that the situation may change in the future if the quality of the stored products begins to deteriorate rapidly.
