According to previous estimates of agribusiness analysts, last year our country sent about 67.5 million tons of products abroad, which is about 16% more than last year's figure, but the amount of revenue fell by 8% and now amounts to $21.8 million.
Experts note that 2023 was the most difficult year in the history of the country, including in this sector. There were many factors that hindered our farmers, such as:
— Targeted blocking of the «grain corridor», which then caused the blocking of sea exports;
— Destruction of the port infrastructure of Odesa and the Danube;
— Ban on transit and export from European Union countries;
But even in spite of this situation, the number of shipped products still increased. But the revenue fell due to a decrease in prices in the world. Analysts also added that the current level of exports is still not enough to cover all the harvested products.
