In our country, the price of this vegetable has been falling sharply for the last month, according to experts from the EasyFruit platform.
There are several factors that influence the fact that manufacturers are forced to gradually reduce the price, but the main one is the maximum saturation of the market with these products. Thus, analysts note that currently large manufacturers offer a price of 10-20 hryvnias for 1 kilogram of products, which is almost 35% less than last week.
This week, cucumbers from greenhouses and open ground from ordinary farmers began to arrive on the market at prices even lower than those offered by large factories.
Also, due to not very high demand, a decision was made to reduce the cost, so that the products do not accumulate in warehouses and spoil. Currently, the price of vegetables is already 39% lower than in 2022 for a similar period, and experts predict a further decrease in cost.
