The number of cows in our country has recently been decreasing very rapidly in all farms and large farms. Experts from the Union of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine note that a large number of animals died due to the attack of the aggressor country and hostilities, and some cows remained in the temporarily occupied territories.
Analysts predict that by the end of this year, the number of cows will decrease by almost 60% compared to 2015. The recovery will be quite gradual and slow, and due to the reduction in volumes, certain threats to our food security may appear.
In general, the experts concluded that in the near future the state should support farmers and large producers so that the situation does not deteriorate even more.
