At its meeting on October 25, the Government of Ukraine approved the maximum insurance rates for insuring the future harvest of sugar beet as part of state support for agricultural insurance risks. It also approved the mechanism and procedure for the application of these tariffs. The corresponding decision is contained in the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of October 25, 2015. No 1228.
As noted in the annexes to the document, the highest rates of the insurance tariff are set in the Transcarpathian, Zaporizhia, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Odessa and Kherson regions, as well as the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. For other regions, it is from 5.1% (Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions) to 7.3% (Vinnitsa, Kirovograd and Cherkasy regions). In addition, the insurance premiums are the same for all the insured areas where sugar beet is grown in the same region.
The amount of the insurance payment is determined by agreement between the insurer and the insured in the policy and may not exceed the maximum amount specified in the decision.
«The maximum share of the insurer's expenses directly related to the conclusion and fulfillment of the terms of insurance contracts is 30% of the insurance tariff,» the document states.
