03.11.2022 12:03

Since the beginning of the month, Ukraine has sent almost 137,000 tons of agricultural products to African countries using the «grain corridor», which was transported on 6 ships. Also, on November 2, another bulker with almost 31,000 tons of wheat was sent to Ethiopia. Bulker was sent by the UN program to overcome the food crisis.

This was already the seventh vessel sent under this program. In total, approximately 220,000 tons of wheat were exported to countries suffering from hunger. In total, since the beginning of the month, 15 bulk carriers have been sent, transporting almost 490 thousand tons of products. That is, despite the full-scale war in the extremes, we continue to fulfill our obligations.

During one quarter of the work of the «grain agreement», 424 ships carrying approximately 10 million tons of agricultural products were sent from Ukrainian ports.
