During the first month of this year, our country imported almost 2,000 tons of pork from abroad, which is three times less than during the same period in 2022, according to the customs of Ukraine.
In terms of finances, since January, payments have also approximately tripled, while $11.7 million was paid for the same period last year, now this indicator is somewhere between $3.8-$3.9 million.
Most were exported from such countries as: the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium. However, it should be noted that the amount of imported products is almost three times more than in the last month of last year.
But experts point out that such indicators are quite typical, since, unlike December, in January there is an opportunity to import products cheaper, without paying additional duties, since the quotas start a new countdown.
