Ukraine continues to fulfill its obligations under the Grain from Ukraine program

10.01.2023 13:24

On January 6, a meeting was held in Ukraine between the Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine and the deputy head of the World Food Program, namely Marianna Ward.

At the meeting, issues regarding the future of the program and ways to maximize the implementation of all plans for providing humanitarian aid to low-income countries were resolved. Also, after the meeting, Ward reported on the additional purchase of almost 65 tons of our agricultural products.

This aid will be loaded onto 2 bulk carriers at Odesa port, which will later be shipped to Ethiopia. One of the ships is already ready, the Amira Hana, but has not yet been inspected.

The parties also agreed on future plans to help Asian and African countries overcome the humanitarian crisis.

We would like to remind that thanks to the Grain from Ukraine program, countries that are on the verge of a humanitarian disaster have the opportunity to overcome it, and the World Food Program helps us in this.
