In January-June, Ukrainian exporters delivered 237,000 tons of meat and by-products to foreign markets, which is 5% more than in the same period last year.
That's according to a report by the Agricultural Export Association.
Foreign exchange earnings from these products increased by 15% to US$505 million.
«This was made possible by an increase in sales on foreign markets of poultry meat — 226 thousand tons (by 6%) worth $463 million (by 18%)», — noted experts.
Export sales of sausage products also increased to US$2.8 million (+57%), and export sales of cooked and canned meat products to US$23.9 million (+146%).
