At the moment, the main customers of our sugar are the countries of the European Union, where it is because of the invasion of the aggressor country, the shipment of products through the ports of Odesa and the Black Sea port was blocked, from where the sugar then went to the countries of Asia, Africa, Turkey and Azerbaijan.
According to experts, the domestic prices for the wholesale purchase of products in our European neighbors are 800-850 euros per 1 ton, but in those countries that are dependent on exports, the price is slightly higher, within 1000 euros, which is why our products are in such demand among our neighbors.
For example, the average price of the cheapest packaged sugar in European stores is 52 hryvnias, and in Germany the price generally reaches 60 hryvnias, while our producers offer a price of 34 hryvnias for 1 kilogram.
But analysts note that such a price difference may not last long, as over time, under conditions of adequate competition, prices should equalize, so there is a probability of an increase in the cost of our products from the new harvest within the borders of our country.
