In our country, immediately after the increase in the price of meat products, the price of lard immediately increased. Products are more expensive on supermarket shelves than in markets and bazaars, analysts from the finance.today.ua platform report.
At present, the products cost an average of 250-255 hryvnias per 1 kilogram, the trend of increasing prices was maintained in the same way as for meat products. Now it is most profitable to buy lard at the bazaars.
If you look at the price in large retail chains, you can buy, for example, at the Novus store for 320 hryvnias for 1 kilogram, or at Megamarket, where a kilogram of products will cost you 190 hryvnias. The cost of both salted lard and regular fresh lard has increased.
Since the beginning of the summer, a kilogram of products cost 189 hryvnias, in the last two months the price has really increased by about 35-40%, and in some chains even more.
With the beginning of a full-scale invasion in our country, the number of pigs is gradually decreasing, and this is the main factor in the positive dynamics of price growth. Analysts do not exclude the possibility of an even greater increase in value. If you look at the price of pork in particular, the average price in stores is currently 255 hryvnias per kilo, but similarly, as with lard and pork, the price in different supermarkets differs quite significantly.
