Berries are expected to be the first to drop in price: already in May, Ukrainians will be able to buy cheaper cherries, strawberries, strawberries, and raspberries. Their prices are predicted to be 10-20% lower than in the spring.
Apples, peaches, and apricots will become cheaper after berries: these fruits traditionally become more affordable in June-July. Their prices may decrease by 5-15% compared to May.
The prices of bananas, oranges, tangerines are likely to remain stable: these tropical fruits are imported into Ukraine, so their value is less dependent on seasonality. However, some increase in their prices cannot be ruled out, because in general, inflation in the country still persists.
Some fruits may even become more expensive: we are talking about grapes, pears, plums. This is due to the fact that the harvest of these fruits is collected a little later, as well as their lower shelf life, which can lead to greater losses during storage.
In general, experts advise Ukrainians to actively buy seasonal fruits in the summer, because this is when they are the most affordable and tastiest.
