As the end of summer approached, you might have noticed that the prices of seasonal produce began to rise. This situation also affected vegetables. For example, the price of cucumbers and cabbages has risen dramatically. On the other hand, tomatoes and peppers are cheaper than last month.
In particular, as of August 26, cucumbers are sold at an average price of UAH 67.49/kg instead of UAH 43.55/kg. The price of smooth cucumbers increased from UAH 56.99/kg to UAH 89.90/kg. The price of prickly cucumbers decreased from UAH 79.90/kg to UAH 69.17/kg.
Tomatoes showed a downward trend. The price of reds decreased from UAH 78.22/kg to UAH 58.63/kg. Pink ones fell in price from UAH 74.85/kg to UAH 52.35/kg, and cream — from UAH 89.67/kg to UAH 46.92/kg.
Bulgarian yellow pepper also dropped significantly in price from UAH 186.62/kg to UAH 120.25/kg.
However, the price of young cabbage has already increased from UAH 16.41/kg in July to UAH 30.58/kg, and for white cabbage from UAH 22.05/kg to UAH 32.74/kg.
