According to the data of the Vinnytsia regional administration, as of August 23, 83% of the expected winter rapeseed area in the Vinnytsia region was sown.
The area of winter crops to be harvested in 2025 in the Vinnytsia region is 426 thousand hectares, at the same level as this year, including 326 thousand hectares of winter grain and 100 thousand hectares of winter rapeseed.
The actual rate of planting depends on climatic conditions, especially on the amount of moisture that can be accumulated in the top layer of the soil.
In 2024, in the Vinnytsia region, the area planted with rapeseed was 118 thousand hectares, and the harvest was — 374 thousand tons.
The average yield of winter rape was 31.9 q/ha, which is 2.6 q/ha lower than last year, and of spring rape — 28.3 q/ha (19.3 q/ha in 2023).
