The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Solsky believes that the war set agriculture back years

In an interview with Forbes, Mykola Solskyi said that the yield during the war was no worse than the average in recent years, but investments in the industry will stop.

Those who grow grain suffer the most, because it is precisely in this industry that the largest number of producers are affected by the sharp increase in logistics prices.
At its peak, logistics costs were higher than grain prices. This should not be the case.
«Earlier, agrarians used to update equipment and invest in new ones, but this has stopped and will not resume in the near future. And even if the war ends, it will take some time to make such decisions and be ready for it,» the minister said.
He believes that three things are needed to bring investors back to agribusiness:
— Provide an insurance system for enterprises operating in wartime;
— effective legal protection;
— Permanently open European market for Ukrainian products
