The main large producers of these products will be forced to gradually raise bread prices in the event of an increase in the cost of electricity, the representative of the Association of Bakers of Ukraine said.
For the entire large industry, due to the increase in electricity tariffs, production costs will increase accordingly. Due to the fact that the main processes that take place at enterprises take place at the time of maximum tariffs. This factor will not be the main one, but it will cause an increase in costs in other sectors, and after that there is a high probability that the price will start to rise.
Earlier, the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission announced an increase in marginal electricity prices by approximately 5-23%, depending on the time of use.
The last time the commission changed the price this summer, then they raised the upper price limits by 50-75%, which immediately led to the fact that the cost of electricity tripled.
