Data from the State Customs Service show that in 2022, Ukraine imported 33.8 thousand tons of cheese, which is 38.8% less than a year earlier.
In monetary terms, the import of cheeses last year amounted to $182.2 million — 30% less than in 2021. Cheeses were imported to Ukraine mainly from Poland, Germany, and the Netherlands.
The export of Ukrainian cheeses in 2022 amounted to 9 thousand tons — 30.4% more than in 2021 and brought in $42.3 million, which is 58.4% more than last year. The largest buyers of cheese in 2022 were Kazakhstan, Poland and Moldova.
