Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi met with Francesco Lolobrigida, Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty of the Italian Republic, and Stephen Spencer, Minister of State at the Ministry of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs of Great Britain.
The officials discussed the problem of world food security and the role of Ukrainian grain in stabilizing the world food market and providing aid to the poorest countries suffering from hunger.
To solve this problem, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi initiated a campaign to provide humanitarian aid in the form of grain supplies to African and Asian countries. He also added that this initiative directly depends on the work of the grain corridor and the support of international partners.
To date, the USA, Poland, Japan, as well as a number of other countries have already taken part in this program.
