The first half of summer passed, and even despite active military operations, seasonal factors began to appear on the market: the price of vegetables began to fall. For example, all vegetables from the borscht set have already fallen in price, as reported by analysts from the agrotimes platform.
The price of vegetables for borscht and vegetables in general has started to decrease since the beginning of this month. The price of cucumbers and tomatoes also fell.
Experts analyzed the prices on the example of the famous market «Shuvar», which is located in Lviv, it is the largest market in the region. Analysts note that prices continue to decrease.
Since the beginning of this month, the price has changed as follows:
— The price of beets fell from 36-40 hryvnias for 1 kilogram to 20-26 hryvnias
— The price of carrots decreased from 46-61 hryvnias per kilo to 36-40 hryvnias
— Cabbage started to cost 10 hryvnias instead of 17
— And the price of onions is currently 27-30 hryvnias instead of 31-35.
The price of other vegetables also decreased, tomatoes started to cost 10-15 hryvnias less, within 55 hryvnias for 1 kilogram, the price of cucumbers also fell by several hryvnias, currently 1 kilogram can be purchased for 15 hryvnias.
