Since the beginning of this week, the price of potatoes in Ukraine has fallen significantly, as experts from the EastFruit platform report, the main factor behind this decrease is the fact that the harvest season has begun in all key regions and, accordingly, the amount of supply on the market has increased.
According to the data, the cost of 1 kilogram of vegetables today is 6-9 hryvnias, which is 17-20% less than a week ago. Also, producers and farmers note that people have become more picky about the quality of products. For example, if in 2022 it was possible to sell even a batch of small potatoes, today it is almost impossible.
Analysts also note that currently the price of 1 kilogram of produce is already almost 10% lower than a year ago, while further price reduction of potatoes is also noted due to a fairly large number of products that will be coming to the market in the near future.
