Ukrainian farmers are beginning to confidently raise prices for carrots, because the demand for them is actively increasing.
The reason for such an increase in demand for these root crops is considered to be the intensification of purchasing activities of large wholesale companies and retail chains on the eve of the New Year, as well as the completion of sales of products from unequipped warehouses.
The price of high-quality carrots today is UAH 15-20/kg, which is 11% more expensive than last week and 2.9 times higher than a year ago.
But as experts explain, price increases occur only for high-quality carrots, which are purchased for long-term storage.
