According to operational data, in July, 2,056 million tons of grain cargoes were exported from Ukraine by rail. Compared with the same month last year, the figure was almost 2.6 times higher. This was discussed at an online meeting of agricultural market participants and representatives of Ukrzaliznytsia on August 1 –Rail.insider reported.
«In July, 2,381 million tons of grain were loaded on the railway network of Ukraine. Compared to July last year, the increase is 77%. The average daily load was 76,800 tons. The share of cereals in the total load is 19%», the message says.
In July alone, the railway transported 2.478 million tons of grain. Compared to the same month last year, the index rose by 67.9%.
In just 7 months of 2024, 24,327 million tons of grain were transported by rail, which is 33% more than last year. Of them, compared to the same period last year, 20.786 million tons were exported (50% more), the increase was 50%.
