Vegetables are becoming more expensive in Ukraine

Last month in our country, many goods and agricultural products showed a positive trend in price growth, among vegetables, carrots and onions increased in price the most, the information was published by the State Statistics Service.

According to experts, in comparison with the first month of 2023, the price of onions increased by 32% and now amounts to UAH 42.5 per 1 kilogram, while carrots have increased by 18% and cost UAH 29 compared to UAH 24.3 in January.

Also, the prices of cabbage, potatoes and apples rose, but not so rapidly, by 8.5%, 2% and 5.1%, respectively.

On the other hand, the price of beets decreased last month, now it costs UAH 11.3 per kilogram, while in January the price was UAH 12.3, i.e. -5.9%, and eggs now cost UAH 62, which is 2% less in comparable to the first month of this year, as well as buckwheat groats, the cost of which on average became lower by 4.7-5% per kilogram, which can now be purchased for UAH 65.6.

According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, inflation for the first month of 2023 compared to the last month of 2022 was 0.9%. But for January 2023, in comparison with January 2022, 27%.
