Ukrainian farmers will receive 4,000 sleeves for grain storage

08.11.2022 13:18

On November 7, the press service of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council reported that they, together with the USAID Program for Agrarian and Rural Development (AGRO), signed a sub-grant agreement, according to which more than 200 micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) of Ukraine will receive grain storage services.

Under the terms of the contract, USAID will transfer 10 sets of grain packing equipment (grain packing machines and hopper loaders) and 4,000 polymer sleeves, and the VAR, in turn, will provide storage services to farmers.

Thanks to this initiative, Ukrainian farmers will be able to save more than 800,000 tons of grain and ensure national food security in wartime conditions.

Also, it is clarified that for agricultural producers, service services within the framework of the initiative will be paid, but will allow farmers to save their harvest and wait for the opportunity to sell it profitably.
