Grain shipments from Ukraine to Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia increased in September. Valery Tkachev, deputy head of the department of transportation technology and commercial work of AT «Ukrzaliznytsia», provided such data, rail.insider reports.
«The Ukrainian-Polish border crossing now carries an average of 50.5 wagons of grain a day. That's 0.2 more than in August. The average daily delivery of grain to Hungary and Slovakia increased by almost four wagons. Currently, the figures are 32.5 and 29.9 wagons respectively», he noted.
At the same time, the number of grain wagons crossing the Ukrainian-Romanian border fell to 51.7 per day, 1.3 fewer than in August.
«The total volume of average daily transfer of grain cargoes and meal is 206 wagons. Compared to August, the indicator has not changed,» V. Tkachev emphasized.
