The fall in the GDP of Ukraine in February 2023 is 26%, which is better than the indicator of January — 32%. This is evidenced by operational assessments of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
Yuliya Svyridenko, First Vice-Prime Minister of the Economy of Ukraine, noted that economic activity gradually recovered in February, taking into account the significant reduction in the electricity deficit and the reduction in the duration of outages due to the resumption of operation of all types of generation in the power system from mid-February. The «energy war» won by Ukraine increased business optimism, improved its mood about the future and increased activity. Overall, the economic front remains strong – the economy continues to function, adapt and recover.
