The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Mykola Solsky, held an online meeting with the Director of the Federal Department of Agriculture, Department of Economy, Education and Research of the Swiss Confederation, Christian Hofer.
The ministers discussed the current situation in the work of the agricultural sector of Ukraine. Switzerland has already announced a financial contribution to the Grain From Ukraine initiative in the amount of 1.5 million Swiss francs.
Mykola Solskyi reported that today work has been intensified to provide farmers with support for the spring sowing campaign.
Also, the minister offered Switzerland to join the partner countries that support projects with the help of seed material and programs of simplified crediting of the agricultural industry for the next year.
Christian Hofer promised to consider options for such a partnership. And based on the results of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue on cooperation.
