After the Russian attack, Ukraine became the leader in the contamination of the territory with explosive objects. It will take at least 10 years for complete demining and land clearing, and the total cost of such work, according to preliminary estimates, will be about 2 billion euros.
The agrarian sector of Ukraine ensures internal food security and exports, therefore it is it that needs to clear the territories as soon as possible. All of these issues were addressed at the UAFA TA webinar «Issues and Practices of Field Demining Solutions», where demining experts explained how to do it safely, effectively and under what conditions.
For the systematic accounting and analysis of territories contaminated by explosive objects in Ukraine, with the support of the Ministry of Agricultural Policy, an internet portal military.feodal.online has been created, where every farmer can make an application, and then representatives of the State Emergency Service or certified demining operators take up the matter. They also emphasized that unauthorized demining leads to tragic consequences, as evidenced by the detonation of equipment in the fields and victims among farmers.
