Currently, in the western regions of our country, for example, at the largest market in Lviv «Shuvar», potatoes can be purchased for 8-11 hryvnias per kilogram. And last year at the same time, it could be purchased for 5 hryvnias. 4 years ago, potatoes were sold at approximately the same prices as now.
This vegetable could be purchased the cheapest between 2015 and 2017, when 1 kilogram of potatoes cost from 3 to 3.5 hryvnias.
At the moment, experts explain such a price due to a high level of inflation and a rather unsatisfactory level of production, despite the fact that this year there was a fairly good harvest.
